Pair of porcelain vases “MÉDICIS” with philhellenic themes. Early 19th century. They depict scenes of Greek cavalry action against the Turks during the Revolution of 1821. The scenes are inspired by a lithography of Karl Loeillot, with subject “charges de cavalerie grecque” (attacks of the Greek cavalry).
